No, The Lost Boys of Penzance were not involved with this (or any!) Brass Ring album, but they did record a version of The Disadvantages Of You. A full-length MP3 of this song is available from UK label Cordelia Records as a free bonus download from the "Beyond The Sea" web site. Originally a US pop hit in the '60s thanks to the humorous Benson & Hedges cigarette TV ad campaign, the LBOP boys' version of The Disadvantages Of You (arranged by producer Jonathan Villegas) is one of two known versions of this song recorded in "modern" times. The Brass Ring (ABC/Dunhill, out of print), Benny Golson (Verve) and Willie Bobo (Polygram Records) versions were cut in the '60s. Spanish artist Ana Laan, aka Rita Calypso (Siesta Records), recorded her version in 2003. LBOP's version, arguably the most rockin' and surfing'est of 'em all, was recorded in mid-2005 for their upcoming debut album.
